Exposition Invitation#2 "Gâtées"

Artists in residence in Mayenne since January, Jeanne Moynot and Stéphanie Cherpin present an exhibition entitled "Gâtées" (Spoiled) across the department's three heritage sites from June 19 to September 20. At the Château de Sainte-Suzanne, they combine their site-specific stage design with works selected from the collections of the Regional Contemporary Art Fund (FRAC) of the Pays de la Loire region. At the Jublains Museum, several creations by the duo will engage in a dialogue with archaeological objects from the permanent exhibition. Finally, at the Robert Tatin Museum, they will offer a unique and intimate interplay between their works and paintings by Marie Pincour, Stéphanie Cherpin's great-great-grandmother, from the collections of the Museum of Naïve and Outsider Art in Laval.
Thus, they invite visitors to move between the three sites as if leafing through a travel journal: a constellation of forms made from diverse materials, a cartography through accumulation, fragmented narratives. There are multiple entry points; everyone is invited to find their own place within them.
