Bike

BY BICYCLE...

"Quand on partait de bon matin, quand on partait sur les chemins, à bicyclette! " sang Yves Montand. The inspiration of this song could very well have come from excursions on two wheels along the cycle paths of Coëvrons! Between woodland and discreet valleys, cycling in the Coëvrons is much more than just a bit of fun with friends and family, it's a truly authentic experience.

SPORTS VERSION

Sports version? Put yourself in the saddle and ride the marked mountain bike routes! As a bit of training for the higher summits, you will find plenty to strengthen your calves around the Bois du Tay in Hambers, the Mont Rochard... and enjoy the freshness of the rivers below.

At the Gué de Selle hostel in Mézangers, sports-people are welcomed for an accommodation package dedicated to their favourite activity.

NEARBY: THE VÉLO-FRANCETTE!

And if the velocipede experience has truly seduced you in the hills of the Coëvrons, try the flat terrain along the route that follows the river Mayenne: the Vélo-Francette!

Linking Ouistreham to La Rochelle, the Vélo-Francette brings together much of the "Gentle France" that could have inspired the words of Yves Montand or Charles Trénet.

With a slight drop in altitude, this easy and safe route will be the perfect way to end your trip to the Coëvrons

ORGANISE YOUR BIKE TRIP

For the sports-people who arrive in the Coëvrons on their mountain bike, we have several routes for which GPX maps can be downloaded on this site.

As you check them out, you'll notice the diversity of landscapes and lands in the Coëvrons: forest, woodland and sometimes almost mountainous!

For cycling enthusiasts, there is plenty of accommodation with bike rental facilities. All that's left to do now is ride on the trails! But be careful, you may come across some horses and carts: all kinds of riders co-exist here!

And if you have come without your wheels, the tourist office offers a bike rental service, both traditional and electric!
