Fishing enthusiasts, get your hooks ready and prepare your lines, because the Gué de Selle is an excellent spot for fishing ! As the pond is classified as a 2nd category fishing area , you're sure to find pike and zander on the end of your line!
To fish at Gué de Selle, remember that you must have a specific fishing permit. Buy your permit online or at the Tourist Office!
Hiking trails in a Natura 2000 site
In addition to water sports and other sporting activities, Gué de Selle also offers hiking trails.
You'll enjoy walking around the pond, following a 3-kilometer botanical trail . As you stroll, you'll observe different species of trees, aquatic plants, water lilies, and also a variety of wildlife. Ideal for a Sunday walk!
If you'd like to extend your walk, route number 25 is perfect for you. You'll pass along the Gué de Selle ford, and also through Mézangers, where you can admire the picturesque architecture of its town center. Don't miss a stop to contemplate the majestic Château du Rocher , a private residence listed as a Historical Monument. To enhance your walk, take a stroll through its gardens , which are open to the public!
