At a bend in the path, Salica spotted a huge hedge of brightly colored rosebushes and wanted to approach it. The prince, with a suddenly worried look, warned her: this hedge was enchanted, and no one could pick its flowers without suffering terrible consequences.
Intrigued, Salica felt an irresistible urge to touch one of those magnificent roses . She turned to the prince with a reassuring smile, which softened his hesitation. Slowly, she approached the rosebushes and reached out toward a unique blue rose. "Salica, woe to you, woe to us if you touch this flower!" cried the prince. But she no longer heard him, her desire being too strong. She plucked the rose.
