Experience an equestrian adventure in the heart of the Mayenne region, a true playground for horse lovers. Accompanied by Frédéric, an experienced and passionate guide, let yourself be carried away through the rolling landscapes of the Coëvrons, between verdant countryside, picturesque panoramas, and charming, unspoiled villages. His expertise of the area and his knowledge of the equestrian world guarantee an authentic, friendly, and completely relaxing experience.
This program* is for riders intermediate to advancedMastering all three paces with routes between 25 and 30 km/day. Two variations are possible: Northern Loop: Sainte-Gemmes le Robert => Hambers (51km) or Southern Loop: Sainte-Gemmes le Robert => Sainte-Suzanne (54km)
*All proposals are suggestions developed with the help of volunteer riders from the Coëvrons hiking council. The program is adaptable and non-binding.
Northern Loop – 51km
From Sainte-Gemmes-le-Robert to Hambers
- 1 Day:
Arrival at the end of the day at Frédéric's bed and breakfast at " Domaine des Pierres Jumelles " in Sainte-Gemmes le Robert or in one of our accommodations.
Dinner at the communal table at " Domaine des Pierres Jumelles "
- Day 2: 30km
Morning : Saddle up your mount and begin the stage to the picnic lunch in Jublains.
Considered the largest and best testimony of the Gallo-Roman period in the greater West, Yublain invites you to open the great book of ancient history.
A vast territory, almost equivalent to that of Mayenne, is occupied by the Gallic people of the Diablintes.
Wander through the monuments preserved by time: remains of the monumental sanctuary, the baths, the theatre and the large fortified complex on the edge of the ancient city are on display for the visitor's gaze and curiosity… it is an exceptional archaeological site to discover.
Afternoon : extend the stage to Hambers then return to calm and settle in at Jacqueline's in your bed and breakfast " la ferme des deux vallées " or "le Bordage " in Hambers.
Dinner at the " La Ferme des Deux Vallées" guesthouse.
- Day 3: 21km
Morning: after a restful night and a hearty breakfast prepared with good farm products, head towards Montaigu.
The highest point, this panoramic site has a small chapel and the remains of a hermitage at its summit. Built in 1402, the site is a place of pilgrimage dedicated to Saint Michael. (The "Grand Chemin Montais," now marked by the GR®365).

In the afternoon : head towards the Domaine des Pierre Jumelles to prepare for your return.
Southern Loop – 54km
From Sainte-Gemmes le Robert to Sainte-Suzanne

- Day 2: 33km
Morning : Your breakfast barely digested, explore on horseback the hilly and hedged landscape of the Coëvrons until the picnic lunch in the heart of the village of Voutré.
Afternoon : after a short but well-deserved nap, set off to explore Sainte-Suzanne.
Classified as one of the Most Beautiful Villages of France® and voted the French people's favorite village, Sainte-Suzanne is brimming with treasures: a castle, ramparts, and a postern tower overlooking the valley. The iconic village of the Coëvrons!
Settle in at Brigitte's place in your gîte d'étape " la ferme équestre la Sorie ." in Sainte-Suzanne or in one of the accommodations in Sainte-Suzanne.
Take a refreshing break on one of the terraces in Place Hubert II… and/or visit the BIM artisanal chocolate shop , the soap shop and other shops in the village , stroll through the narrow streets of the town.

Enjoy a leisurely dinner in one of the restaurants in the village of Sainte-Suzanne (or a quick pizza at the Glamping)... Remember to book in any season!

Morning: after a good night's rest, set off between woods and valleys to discover a rejuvenating natural heritage.
Have a picnic lunch at the Livet lake; take the opportunity to discover the tree with 9 trunks located nearby.
In the afternoon : head towards the Domaine des Pierre Jumelles to prepare for your return.
