This program* is aimed at beginner to intermediate trailers, with routes between 10 and 30 km, designed to develop endurance, tempo and adaptation to the terrain. It can also serve as ideal preparation for the upcoming Trail events in 2025: in May the 6 hours from Sainte-Suzanne, in June the Main' Erve Trail and in September the Trail of Small Towns of Charactere.
*All sports proposals are suggestions built with the help of David Deguelle, trainer, coach and consultant in outdoor practices. The program is adaptable and without obligation.
Explore the land of Sainte-Suzanne, a medieval jewel listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in France
Day 1: Gentle immersion and tempo work
Arrival mid-morning – Parking at football stadium – Maxime Létard room in Sainte-Suzanne.
- Gentle warm-up on the VMA circuit 400m and specific exercises (feet, hamstrings, joint mobility) for 20 minutes.
- Trail run: Green circuit The Foothills of Ste Suzanne » (9 km) – An accessible loop where you will take the time to soak up the first sensations and the local terrain.
If participation in the 6 hours from Sainte-Suzanne visit us at the Main'Erve Trail or the family Trail of Small Towns of Character, be content with the course " The foothills of Ste Suzanne » and do 3 to 4 accelerations of 1 minute 30 to 3 minutes at the threshold.
Picnic at the Mound Ganne and enjoy a panoramic view of the castle and the city or lunch break in one of the city bistros.
The afternoon, tempo work in fartlek on the blue circuit On the Cham side » (12,8km):
- Warm-up for the first 3 kilometers
- Alternating between 3 and 4 minutes at threshold speed and 2 minutes 30 seconds in active recovery,
- End of course in normal racing.
During the afternoon, take a refreshing break on one of the terraces of Place Hubert II... and/or visit the BIM artisanal chocolate factory, the soap factory et other traders in the village, wander through the alleys of the city.

Route from Sainte-Suzanne to Saint-Pierre-sur-Erve
Day 2: Long outing and work on rhythm variations
In the morning, long outing in Sainte-Suzanne on the red circuit The Vallette Valley " (27,6 km)
- Smooth route without technical traps.
- Working in pairs: one person leads the dance for 3 to 4 minutes, imposing changes of direction, speed and terrain to challenge their partner.
- 3 to 4 repetitions per runner, on the most varied part of the course (to be done between km 15 and 25).
Picnic break prepared by the guest house: at the end of the route, settle down in an area on the banks of the Erve near the river at the place called the Saugère or take a break at the third place the Scribbler "At Marie and Sam's, a very friendly community café below the parking lot on the Chammes road.
Free afternoon : transfer to Saulges. Take advantage of the additional activities offered by the Tourist Office (hiking, cultural visits, relaxation, etc.):

Day 3: Technical terrain and active recovery
In the morning, travel to Saint-Pierre-Sur-Erve or Saulges.
Trail outing on a more technical course (depending on fitness and level).
- Trail route no. 6 (blue), " the tour of the stoves » (12,8km)
- Trail route no. 8 (blue), " "A river flows through the middle." (14,4km)
Active recovery on the green route In Sylvain's footsteps » (5,5km). A low-intensity loop, ideal for relieving fatigue and reoxygenating muscles after a weekend of exertion if participating on day 2 of the 6 hours from Sainte-Suzanne, Main'Erve Trail ou Trail of Small Towns of Character.
Picnic break on the site of the caves (with the bread of the cedar bakehouse the day before or bread vending machine at Place Jacques FAVROT in SAULGES) or lunch at the restaurant « The Cave Tavern »
Before leaving, soak up some local history by visiting the village of Saulges and its prehistoric caves, fascinating remains of human occupation for more than 20 years.
In the afternoon, several options are possible:
- Book your visit to the Rochefort cave and/or Margot cave (limited places) with a guide and finish with the Museum of Prehistory free visit
- Stroll through the village of Saulges and discover one of the oldest churches in France, theChurch of St. Peter
- If you have booked, you can also try theclimbing, accompanied by a guide from the departmental federation
- Located at the water's edge, you also have the possibility (if you are equipped) of fishing in the Erve river, with a fishing license (for the day, week or more)
- In July and August, cool off with the natural swimming pool at the Saint-Cénéré leisure center.



Let yourself be carried away by the green landscapes of the Coëvrons and their picturesque villages classified as “Small Towns of Character”. The route winds between groves, hills and centuries-old paths, once used by pilgrims and travelers in the Middle Ages.
