Step 1: STATUE OF THE SACRED HEART

In 1946, the parishes of Torcé and Viviers commissioned an ex-voto from the Parisian sculptor Georges Serraz, in thanks for the liberation of their communes and the protection of the communes from US artillery bombardments (in this case the 90th Infantry Division). It is a colossal statue, approximately ten meters high, representing a Christ extending his arms in a cross as a sign of protection for the two parishes.
