HAMEAU DE LA RIVIÈRE
The Erve, the hamlet of La Rivière and the numerous mills... vestiges of Sainte-Suzanne's great industrial past.
At the foot of the rocky peak of Sainte-Suzanne, this hamlet once housed 17 mills along the Erve River. They alone retrace the history of an industrial activity that flourished from the Middle Ages to the last century. They are still visible, as is a washhouse along the Erve.
