Gallo-Roman period and Middle Ages. Ruins of the Gallo-Roman fortress of Rubricaire

In Sainte-Gemmes-le-Robert, on the slopes of Mont Rochard, stands the Gallo-Roman fortress of Rubricaire. This monument is located only 3 km from the ancient Roman road linking Jublains to Le Mans. This rubricaire controlled the surrounding countryside. The Rubricaire was modified and restored to a defensive state around the XNUMXth century. Parking and free access on foot.
