Moulin de Thévalles

Discover the Thévalles mill in Chemeré-le-Roi. Located in the Erve Valley in Mayenne, this historic monument features an exceptional mechanism dating from 1850 on four levels.
On the banks of the Erve, at the foot of a beautiful 16th-century castle, this watermill in Mayenne is open to visitors and is listed as a Historic Monument. Its current 30-ton mechanism, unique in western France, dates from 1850 and operates on 4 levels: it is driven by a 5,60m diameter and 2m wide water wheel (the mill is started at each visit). Interesting discovery of the millers' know-how. On site, spelt flour, "the queen of cereals," grown near the mill (organically grown products) is on sale.
