Every year, at the beginning of July, this festival is a highlight of the sacred music repertoire . In the evening, enthusiasts flock to the cool interior of the Basilica of Évron to listen to concerts by local musical ensembles, as well as internationally renowned ones.
The 23rd edition of the Évron Sacred Arts Festival, in Mayenne, will take place from July 3rd to 8th, 2026. Seven groups of artists and music enthusiasts will perform over these six days. Spanning music from the Middle Ages to the present day, nearly 1000 years of musical tradition will resonate during the festival, filling the Basilica of Notre-Dame de l'Épine with vibrant music.
2026, a return to the Roots
The theme of this new edition is Roots : A simple yet essential word. Speaking of roots is not about indulging in nostalgia, but rather about what came before us and what continues to nourish the present. It is also about recognizing what connects works, artists, places, and audiences. This is why this 23rd edition has chosen to focus on these multiple roots that form our foundations.
This edition, placed under the sign of transmission and connection, aims to be a special time in which everyone is invited to experience timeless emotions.

Ticket sales will open this year on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at 15 p.m. You can buy your tickets on the Sacred Arts Festival website as well as at the only physical point of sale, the Evron media library , located on Place Pierre Mendès-France.
The beginnings of the FAS
Choose a place steeped in history and spirituality, and program the songs and music that were performed there centuries earlier! This was the approach taken by the town hall of Evron in 2003, for the first edition of the Festival of Sacred Arts . For 21 years now, the Basilica of Evron has hosted sacred music concerts in early July, allowing the history of its ancient stones to resonate within its walls.
For all lovers of heritage, music and singing, because here "singing is enjoying twice" : the ancient place and the music.
